FOUNDER & CHIEF SCIENCE OFFICER

Ted Moore drives hard-tech programs to successful outcomes. Whether they're broken, stalled, or lacking innovation and direction, he has a powerful instinct for finding the mechanism underneath the mechanism. The first principles, the essence of the physics, the complexity, the subtleties. The things everyone else walks past.

He's a physicist and mathematician by training, which means he doesn't accept "that's just how it works" as an answer. Ted spent years in semiconductor process development doing exactly the kind of painstaking experimental work that produces patents, trade secrets and demonstrably valuable innovations. That same instinct carried him into original R&D work across atmospheric remote sensing, waterless mineral beneficiation, materials processing, and now lunar in-situ resource utilization. Programs that started with a problem or bottleneck and required building solution concepts and the science from the ground up.

Ted co-founded three hard-tech ventures across vehicle diagnostics, atmospheric instrumentation, and consumer electronics, serving as co-founder, president, and CTO across those chapters. He's overseen consumer electronics manufacturing operations in China, put products on Best Buy shelves, and created original foundational IP. He's taken a biosensor platform from TRL 5 through commercial readiness under VC pressure with a deadline that didn't move. Ted knows what it feels like when the physics is unresolved and capital is already at risk.

What makes him unusual is the range. Most technically serious people live at one end of the TRL chain or the other: either doing original science or closing late-stage programs. Ted operates across the full span, from first physical concept through commercial deployment, and has done it repeatedly across domains that have almost nothing in common except high difficulty. Semiconductors, atmospheric instrumentation, mining beneficiation, biosensors, astronomy instrumentation, audio electronics. The industries change, the success and impact methods don’t.

His technique is stitching together a deep-knowledge of real-world physical science, execution and building the empirical data to inform decisions. Ted uses first-principles physical reasoning and three decades of operator experience to produce results that are fast, impactful, and transferable.

He co-founded RADCAT Research to deploy that full-chain capability with increased purpose and reach: intervention when programs are broken, innovation when the science needs building from scratch, and a milestone-driven, results-oriented outcome is required.

He holds an MS in Physics and a BS in Mathematics from Purdue University and was named Purdue College of Science Outstanding Alumni in 2017. Ted served a five-year term as President of the Purdue University College of Science Alumni Board, is a member of the Purdue Department of Astronomy and Physics Advisory Board, and has received multiple awards for both innovation and product design. He lives in Zionsville, Indiana.
