RESEARCH
Conventional heavy mineral beneficiation depends on fresh water, a precious, scarce and costly resource in remote mining operations. RADCAT developed and validated through TRL3 a waterless dry separation technology for ilmenite and rutile recovery using real heavy mineral feedstock from an active mine. The feasibility of the MSH producing Heavy Mineral Concentrate (HMC) of near commercial grade was demonstrated. The MSH is a mining technology platform ready for further TRL progression and transition to a commercialized mining technology.
The MSH work established the empirical data foundation for lunar in-situ resource utilization and remains an active platform for terrestrial mining innovation.

MOONSTONE
The Moon's surface contains ilmenite, an iron-titanium oxide mineral that can be processed into oxygen, water, and metallic feedstock to support sustained human presence beyond Earth. RADCAT's Moonstone project extends the MSH terrestrial heritage into the lunar environment, adapting the dry separation process for vacuum, low-gravity conditions, and the unique nature of lunar regolith.
Active TRL 1-3 development is underway and we welcome collaborative and funding partnerships to further develop this exciting lunar mining platform.
